Dieses bezaubernde und malerische Viertel verleiht Porto seinen ganz besonderen Reiz. Und genau hier erwartet Sie das Guest House Douro, dessen Zimmer allesamt über eine spektakuläre Aussicht auf den Douro Fluss, sowie die Brücke Dom Luis verfügen. Zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Porto zu bieten hat, liegen im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes direkt vor Ihrer Haustür. Ebenso wie das Viertel kann auch das Guest House Douro selbst auf eine jahrhundertelange Geschichte zurückblicken. Durch eine groß angelegte Renovierung wurde das Innern des Gästhauses mit hochqualitativen und komfortablen Einrichtungselemente versehen. Sämtliche der acht Gästezimmer wurden individuell eingerichtet, sowie schlicht und doch wunderschön dekoriert. Die großen Fenster verleihen den Zimmern eine angenehme und wunderschöne Atmosphäre.

The perfect place to stay in Porto. Our hosts Hugo and Luisa were warm and incredibly helpful in every way possible.

Guest House Douro has a charming location being on the river front in the old town. From our room with French doors, we could hear musicians performing at the quay below and watch boats and people drifting by. Breakfast was also lovely.... a sculpted assortment of fresh fruits as a centerpiece, with fresh bread, cheeses and charcuterie, and delicious coffee made to suit. The most charming part of our stay was our hosts, Hugo and Louisa, a just married young couple eager to accommodate and brimming with ideas and enthusiasm for their native Porto. A very memorable 3 nights!

Everything was excellent, could not have asked for more. From the beautiful fresh flowers in the room to the fresh orange juice and exotic fruits for breakfast, it was perfect. The rooms were decorated with impeccable taste and were very comfortable. Our hosts were gracious and very accommodating and saw to our every need. We can’t say enough good things about our stay there.

A true gem in Porto thanks to our wonderful landlords Carmen and Joao our three day stay at Puerto was absolutely magnificent. The accommodation is perfect and filled with many tiny little heart full details. The Riverside view from the room is spectacular and the breakfast cannot be topped. But what really makes this guest house so wonderful is their owners and their heart full warmth in taking every effort to make this stay for their guests a rememberable one. We relied on many little tips from Carmen and Joao and were totally happy especially with dining in the close by Fish restaurant "Terreiro". We wish them both all the best and will for sure be back when we come to Porto again.
