Devon as a Destination

Devon - What to see and do

Despite its next door neighbour Cornwall often gaining most of the attention, Devon remains a fantastic option for any visit to England. With incredible landscapes, wild beaches, delicious tea rooms there is very little not to like about this English county.

Dartmoor National Park is a beautiful area of wilderness where you can experience complete tranquillity. Keep your eyes open for the famous Dartmoor ponies which roam the moors.

Busy cities or tiny villages - Devon has it all. A trip to Exeter can fulfil your urban needs, especially with its wide range of shops, stylish eating options and with a beautiful Gothic Cathedral.

Devon - Gastronomy

Many farm shops throughout Devon are well-stocked with fresh local produce available for visitors to purchase.

Salmcobe Gin School offers the perfect experience for gin lovers who are able to learn a step by step guide about the process of distillation.

A trip to Sharpham vineyard, situated amongst 500 acres of stunning surroundings is a fantastic opportunity to try some English wine and cheese. Guests are able to book a self-guided or private guided tour which includes wine tasting amongst the vines. Upon returning to the Shapham House visitors are also able to sign up for a cheese tasting - especially to try the Shapham Brie.
