Casa Muria

Casa Muria (The Holly Tree House) is an 18th century farmhouse in the Pyrenees, located on the way to Coll de Fadas and near the N260 axis of the Pyrenees. What does this mean? It means a superb and privileged location where guests enjoy incomparable 360º views.
For example, on one side you have the vast Benasque Valley between the beautiful mountains of El Posets and El Gallinero. On the other side what you get are exceptional views of an amazing high mountain forest. It's enough to make you cross eyed! The views are so extraordinary we wager that even in winter you’ll take to the gardens and breathe in the breathtaking scenery
Talking of garden, it owes much to the valuable contribution of the sculptor Vicente García Plana, who has created a new concept in the Huesca Pyrenees (Land Art). His work consists of groups of sculptures with appealing names such as “Los Yunques de las Nubes de Renanué” and “Los Espanta Brujas Moviles de Renanué”.
As for the house, the modern style décor did not preclude leaving as much of the original features as possible. Hence even the original name remains, every stone has been numbers, and the the Arab tiles rebuilt to their original splendor and the three chimneys with the typical style of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Each of them holds a figure, which was traditionally used to ward off evil spirits.
The end result of all this is a charming rural house where you can get away from it all and enjoy peace. Of course, you will also probably fall in love with the magical landscapes and exceptional beauty that abounds.
So, prepare to be swept off you feet.
