Wie machen das die Italiener nur? Sie haben nicht nur einige der schönsten und bezauberndsten Städte und Denkmäler der Welt, sondern auch noch eine atemberaubende Landschaft. Die Seen im Alpenvorland mit dem Lago Maggiore, Lago di Como und Lago di Garda gehören hier mit an vorderste Stelle. Aber vielleicht haben Sie noch nie vom Lago d’Iseo gehört, dem viertgrößten See der Lombardei und von ganz besonderer natürlicher Schönheit? Um die Aussicht auf diese berauschende Landschaft zu genießen braucht man natürlich auch einen entsprechenden Aussichtspunkt. Genau hierfür empfehlen wir das Hotel Rivalago.

Direkt am See gelegen und mit Blick auf die Insel Monte Isola, verfügt das Hotel über 30 nett eingerichtete Zimmer und Suiten die für uns zumindest eine schöne Überraschung waren. Ähnliche Hotels in Italien haben meist eine zu überwältigende Dekoration. Das Hotel Rivalago hingegen ist luftig und hell und fast frei von den oft schwerfälligen italienischen „Liberty“ Stilrichtungen. Aber es erwartet Sie nicht nur der nahegelegene See sondern auch ein hübscher Garten in welchem man in aller Ruhe die schöne Landschaft auf sich einwirken lassen kann.

Das Hotel Rivalago hat von allem ein bisschen, den See, die Aussicht, Komfort, Stil, die einnehmende Gastfreundschaft und natürlich die Lage, mit unzähligen kleinen Dörfern ganz in der Nähe und den berühmten Städte Verona und Bergamo auch nicht viel weiter weg. Und da wir in Italien sind sollte man die vorzügliche lokale Küche nicht vergessen.

Beautiful setting

A really beautiful setting, friendly staff and good food. We couldn't asked for more. Greatly enjoyed our two night stay and would love to come back.

Lake Iseo

Lake Iseo offers tourists an extraordinary area rich in landscapes and colours changing in every season.

The Lake dominates the area and is surrounded by the pre-Alps reflected in its waters, creating spectacular effects …yet such peacefulness is only an appearance: from Spring onwards, the delicate breezes typical of the area suggest very enjoyable sports.

Our Lake is extremely popular with enthusiasts of windsurfing, sailing and kite-surfing. Nor should we underestimate the sweet hills of Franciacorta, home not only to excellent wines but also to delightful cycling itineraries for all levels of ability.

The pearl of the Lake

Rivalago Hotel enjoys a delightful location opposite Montisola - the true jewel of our Lake and one of the finest villages in Italy - with superb views.
An efficient, well-established navigation service ensures frequent links with the main centres on the Lake from Montisola - and the landing stage is only a short stroll from the hotel. The “famous” boat tour of the Lake offers tourists the chance to enjoy lovely villages with picturesque ports set in splendid scenarios, as well as occasions to taste local specialities prepared with lake fish that the fishermen living on the Island supply to numerous restaurants

Torbiere. A nature reserve of rare beauty and home to an astonishing variety of wildlife: swans and wild ducks, grebes and moorhens build their nests on its banks - while mammals such as moles, hedgehogs, badgers and squirrels find an ideal habitat hereabouts.

Nearby cities of historic interest include Brescia, Bergamo and Mantua - yet even Verona, Venice and Milan are easily reached from our hotel: the nearby railway and the new ring-road ensure excellent communications with such places.

Outdoor walkers will also find a great many typical "trattorias" and restaurants with fine chefs offering delights for tourists seeking new flavours accompanied by excellent wines.
