Situated in Conques sur Orbiel, on the road to Lastours, and its famous four Cathar castles 9kms from the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Metairie Montplaisir is a beautiful 19th century country house renovated and decorated for you to come and enjoy the good things in life.

After 17 years of an active and hectic a professionnal career, mainly outside France, Amelie sttled in Carcassonne to start a new stage in her life. And you'll be glad she did... Montplaisir is a beautiful place to be welcomed and pampered.

A slice of life here might be a delicious meal with friends and some captivating wine, an afternoon nap in the shade of the fig tree, a swim in the pool, drinks at sunset, an unplanned evening letting yourself follow your urges. desires.

A 65 square metre suite, with a bedroom, a living room and a bathroom with toilet. A bioethanol fireplace opens on both side of the suite and allows you to enjoy a very large and bright room. A spacious bathroom where the furniture is custom-made and offers a large shower as well as a bath for you to relax. Mexico, Brazil and Colombia have influenced this warm suite where you can let yourself go..It is equipped with a 32” flat screen and a Nespresso machine.

Room Rosalie

“A warm and soft room like my Grandmother Rosalie”
A thirty square metre bedroom situated on the first floor of the house, with its ensuite bathroom and toilet. I chose to build a large Italian style shower (walk-in) tiled with pebbles and to increase the natural light. The room offers a cosy space where old family fabrics are mixed with contemporary furniture. It is equipped like all the suites with a 32” flat screen and a Nespresso machine.

“A tiny bit old-fashioned and very feminine like I remember my Grandmother Segur”
A 50 square metre suite with a bathroom and a bedroom built under a magnificent 4m high ceiling. It is the romantic and sentimental side of me which inspired the decoration of this room. Beautiful fuchsia niches light up the Designers Guild wall paper and a superb Napoleon III sofa has been recovered for the occasion.A beautiful bathroom with a large stone shower and a bath to relax.It is equipped with a 32” flat screen and a Nespresso machine.

Atelier

70 m²

Independent cottage on two floors: the living-room and open plan kitchen on the ground floor with the bathroom and bedroom on the level above. A private and protected terrace to sunbathe, have breakfast or enjoy a quiet aperitif.
The Orbiel river runs underneath the windowsill and the sound of water will rock you to sleep in the evenings.
